Three Community Films | Simplicity Credit Union
Three towns, two days
Simplicity serves three communities, and the whole idea of a credit union is that it belongs to the place it's in. One generic video covering all three would have undercut the entire premise. So, three films, one per community. The problem is that three films is normally three productions, and this had two days. Multiple locations, ten different people on camera, and a schedule with no slack in it anywhere. Most of the difficulty on a shoot like this is logistics rather than craft. Who's where, when, and what happens when one piece runs long. It worked because the planning was done before we picked up a camera. On a compressed multi-location shoot, the day itself is just execution. Everything that's going to go wrong was decided a week earlier.
Who is
Simplicity Credit Union
Simplicity Credit Union is a member-owned financial cooperative serving communities in central Wisconsin with personal and business banking. Being local to each market they serve is central to how they operate, not a marketing angle.

Local, three times over
Simplicity came out with a film for each community rather than one video pretending to speak to all of them, which is what a member-owned cooperative should sound like. Getting all three from a two day production made the per-market approach affordable enough to be worth doing.
